Inventory: Her Sound Harness, which allows her to control her sonic constructs.
Powers —

Skills: Songbird's a very good hand to hand combatant, having been a wrestler in an arena where everything was unscripted and later being trained by Hawkeye. Nowhere near the top ten martial artists of Marvel, mind you, but enough that Joe Normal isn't gonna be a problem for her.
Superpowers: Acoustikinetics: Her most famous power, she can channel her sonic abilities through her sound harness, creating vibrant constructs of pure sound, much like a Green Lantern's (though significantly less powerful). These include wings for flight, bubble barriers, weapons, walls, etc. She also uses her sound harness for vocal tricks like directing her sound through sonic tunnels, allowing only specific people to hear her. Or turning buildings into 'tuning forks' to allow her to hear what's going on inside.

Sonic Scream: After some medical attention (how brain surgery helps throat injuries, God only knows) and years of recovery, Melissa's regained some of her old sonic scream. She's capable of drowning out a jet engine within a few feet. She uses this power sparingly, though, because her sound constructs are generally more useful. In the old days, she could have specific effects based on certain pitches, but her throat was damaged long ago and she's yet to fully recover.

Power of Suggestion: As part of her recovery, she's regained some of her other old vocal abilities, notably including a form of mild hypnosis, allowing her to 'suggest' people do things like, say, buy a TV or undo her restraints. Victims of this power have commented on hearing something like a bit of static when she's using it, and she can do it vocally or subvocally.

Enhanced Physiology: The Power Broker treatment she received amped her body to superhuman levels. She can lift roughly two tons, survive multi-story falls, and heated combat with the Green Goblin. (The wiki suggests other things, like enhanced speed and stamina, but I've never seen evidence of those.)

Enhanced Hearing: She's been shown to hear things beyond the human auditory spectrum and not only pinpoint the frequency, but the cause.
Limitations: Songbird's reliant on her sound harness for the vast majority of her powers these days. Otherwise, she has no specific weaknesses, merely the normal human ones. She's not bulletproof or anything like that, she has no danger sense, and while she's tougher than normal people, she's perfectly capable of being hurt by normal people.
Personality —
As Marvel's heroes go, very few have undergone so much growth and change as Melissa Gold. She's been a runaway, a petty criminal, a wrestler, a villain, a Master of Evil, and, ultimately, a hero. Maybe not an idol of millions, but definitely someone to watch. Or, she would be if she weren't sick and tired of all this cape and cowl nonsense. She's tried to quit in the past, but allowed herself to be dragged back in 'for old time's sake.' She's not going to be happy to be dragged into the spandex race again, especially not after the last one ended with shattered ribs and a long walk to civilization from the North Pole. She'd been happily retired, dammit.

In the past, Melissa was uncertain of herself and satisfied with taking a supporting role in any given situation. Now she takes situations by the throat and throttles them. She'll take the back seat to someone else if she thinks that they're better suited for the situation, but she's more than willing to step up and take command of a situation. As a leader, she tends to be a bit demanding, pushing her team harder until they're putting out the very best she thinks they can be.

Songbird also has a bit of a manipulative streak to her. She's more than willing to lie and cheat to get a result she wants, such as arranging for Bullseye to be crippled because she didn't want him on her team, playing triple agent during an Avengers/SHIELD conflict, and even pretending to be in love with Baron Zemo as part of a scheme to kill him. Despite holding herself, and her fellow heroes, to high standards, she sees zero problem in getting a little sneaky and underhanded herself.

She's fiercely loyal to her friends, and to those who respect her, willing to face down vastly superior forces at the drop of a hat for them. She came out of retirement for the Thunderbolts (or, rather, the few she could still stand) and she once threw down with Captain Marvel's forces during the second Civil War for Luke Cage's sake. It would have been easier in the long run to say 'no' to either batch, but she still went out without complaint, even though those events could have ended in either jail time or death.

Ultimately, she takes a while to warm up to people. When she does, she's perfectly friendly, even kind and caring towards them. But for the people she doesn't know, or doesn't have a reason to respect yet, she's often overly firm, to the point of being harsh. And she holds long grudges, even when it would benefit her more to let things go.

She's got some homophobic and racist tendencies, but isn't proud of them. Melissa's worked hard to overcome her own prejudices, but still has some room to grow in those areas.
Gameplay —
Areas of Interest / Brainstorming: Every time she's out, someone pulls her back in! Melissa's going to be rather frustrated by this, but she ought to bounce back quickly. Joining the Alliance is, however, a strict 'maybe' depending on how hard they court her/what she perceives they need. She's done being a hero, but doesn't exactly know what else to do with her life now that she's very suddenly not rich again. And, as much as the Alliance is a dog and pony show, at least they pay.

Really, I have no hard plans.
